As listeners of hip-hop and rap music, you must separate individuals based on their skills and contributions to the music that they create. Sometimes we get caught up in measuring how a fish can fly and we miss the mark on the artist themselves. Then there comes an artist who can swim and fly (I hope that analogy makes sense). Blvff has really outdone himself with his work on Laughing In Traffic. This album has everything you could want and more when it comes to the genre of music.

Laughing In Traffic is a true masterpiece of what Blvff is capable of in the studio. In this project, he gives you some of the best music I’ve heard in 2023. From banging vintage New York rap to the lyrical and surgical hip hop vocals, Blvff takes you on a journey through his life and what it’s like on the east coast. My favorite song on the album is “Kernels” and once you listen you’ll know why. Blvff has some cold lines like “I can take the heat cause my heart so cold”. The beautiful part about the album is Blvff is able to bring along his very talented artist friends to make fantastic music. The album features fellow New York artists SHORT BUSS13, nikmoody, Code Will, Leigh, Grime-E, Crema Jay, and Blanko.
